Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I become a Member?
Becoming a Member of SARPA only takes a few clicks! Check out our Join SARPA page, and from there you'll be able to fill out a form and make your $30 payment on our GiveMN donation page.

How can I support SARPA?
You can support SARPA by making donations (which are fully tax-refundable) via our GiveMN page or by mailing your donation to our secure P.O. Box. Check out our Join SARPA page to learn more.

What's the difference between being a Friend of Summit Avenue and a Member? Why two different membership tiers anyway?
SARPA encourages anyone interested in Summit Avenue or the work our association does to participate in events and/or make financial donations. The easiest way to do both of those things is to become a Member or a Friend of Summit Avenue. Being a Member of SARPA comes with the responsibility of paying a $30 annual fee to our association. That fee helps us create programming, hire historical consultants and researchers, and give back to the community.
Not everyone has the privilege of being able to pay the membership fee, and SARPA wants to make sure that everyone who wants to be a part of the community can; that is why becoming a Friend of Summit Avenue is a completely free tier of membership.

How can I stay up to date on events and meetings?
By signing up to be a Friend of Summit Avenue or becoming a Member of SARPA, you'll receive our eNewsletter. That way you'll be among the first to hear about events, meetings, or volunteer opportunities. Check out our Join SARPA page to learn more.

But my question wasn't listed here, where can I get an answer?
If your question hasn't been answered on this page, don't worry. We update this page as questions come to us. We can help connect you to other historical organizations and associations, and answer questions about architecture and local history. You can email us at board@sarpa.org with your question and one of our board members will get in touch with you. If you have a question for a specific board member or about a certain topic, be sure to put that in the subject line of your email.
